I created an html file for a custom header with the following content:
*div* this is the header */div*

When I log into the portal I see the following at the top of *div*
this is the header
*/div*

salesforce.com is not interpreting my file correctly... any ideas?

I'm using * instead of <> because the website does not support the div tag.

Hello...the LINK tag for the CSS *can* exist in the BODY...it does not need to be in the HEADER for the styles to take effect.

How do you reference the CSS? Anything that goes to the Customer Portal header is included inside the body tag, which means link tag won't work. Thanks.
